THE SCARECROWS’ WEDDING

Red Star’s third collaboration with Magic Light Pictures is THE SCARECROWS’ WEDDING. Based on the picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, the 30 minute special aired on Christmas day 2025 in the UK where it was the #1 show.

Red Star again partnered with Triggerfish Animation Studios to create all the film’s assets, splitting the animation crew between UK and South Africa and then completed the remainder of the film’s animation visuals in-house. The film featured the voices of Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley, Domhnall Gleeson and Sophie Okonedo and was directed by Samantha Cutler and Jeroen Jaspaert.
